Confirmation at AES is a 2 year program for 9th and 10th graders. The program consists of weekly classes (Wednesdays 2-3pm), service projects for the church and community, and fellowship events. Every confirmation student will have a mentor of their choosing. A mentor is an adult of Christian faith that is not related to the youth. The goal of the mentorship program is to build Christ centered relationships. Mentors and confirmation students meet 2-5 times throughout the year and participate in Lenten suppers and worship services together.
The requirements for confirmation include class attendance, Sunday worship attendance, service projects, memory work and a commitment of the youth to their overall faith formation.
